New Hampshire is one of the most beautiful states in the whole United States, and a New Hampshire summer seldom disappoints. With a summer fun window of only 6 to 8 weeks, it is necessary to stay busy or miss out on the good times.

There are many things to do in New Hampshire every summer day. There is Hampton Beach with its walk of shops where one can buy anything from a bikini to a panini to delicious world famous square pizza. If seafood is required there is a little place just down the beach that serves the best fried clams in New England. There are fireworks at Hampton Beach as well, beginning at sunset one or two nights each week.

Mount Washington is located in Coos County and boasts honors as the highest peak in the Northeastern U.S. Visit the beautiful Mount Washington Hotel for a weekend or take a day trip and drive to the 6288 ft. summit on the auto road that is open in season. The entire state of New Hampshire is actually perfect for camping during the Spring, Summer and early Autumn of any year.  Grab your camping and hiking gear and GO GO GO!

For the motorcycle crowd, New Hampshire welcomes and blesses them. The Blessing of the Bikes takes place each summer, in June. It is held in Colebrook in Moose County and offers a blessed weekend packed with fun, food, and friendship.

For those who have diesel in their blood, a stop in Epping is a must. New England Dragway is located there as is Star Speedway. Both tracks do a land office business right through the season and promise a great time. Don’t forget the earplugs.

June means strawberries and New Hampshire honors that delectable fruit brilliantly, all month long. Whether it’s Windam, Bow Hills or New London a sweet time will be had by young and old alike.

And of course, it wouldn’t be summer in New Hampshire without attending at least one fair. Whether it’s the Stratham Fair in July or the Deerfield Fair in September or any and all in between, there is always something to see and do at the fair.

Even though New Hampshire has a short summer, it doesn’t have to be a boring one. And if you still don’t know what to do in New Hampshire during the summer, ask a Mainer.
